Started in 2004, ReqIF is a file format developed to help the lossless exchange of requirements and associated metadata between software tools. ReqIF was intended to be a standard format suitable for any industry.
In this webinar, we provide an overview of the standard and analyze actual use cases of ReqIF. We also provide guidance for product developers aiming to leverage the standard for exchanging requirements in complex software and electronics-driven projects!
First, we take a collaboration-focused example: with Maximilian Wendland from Bertrandt AG, we review the use case of ReqIF being used in the building of an e-Truck. Then, we dive into the topic of tool modernization. Intland’s Andreas Pabinger and Benjamin Engele show you how codebeamer’s DOORS synchronization applies ReqIF to simplify migration from legacy tools. Finally, we discuss the limitations of and alternatives to ReqIF for data exchange.
The webinar’s agenda:
- Overview of the ReqIF standard
- A collaboration use case: Building an e-Truck
- A legacy tool migration use case: cB2DOORSSync
- ReqIF limitations and other exchange options
