With Retina 3.1, we have significantly enhanced our SaaS offering. The new version supports Microsoft Azure Cloud, extends Azure DevOps for regulatory compliance, and integrates with MS Teams for improved collaboration.
We extended our existing cloud offering with Microsoft Azure Cloud support. For companies that want to save time on IT management and focus on innovation instead, we’ve enabled Retina to run on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Deploy Retina on the Azure cloud in 5 minutes for a secure, scalable, and encrypted cloud instance. With Retina 3.1, we achieved 100% Microsoft Azure compliance, passing Azure’s internal audits on security and best practices.
Looking for a more customized solution on the Azure cloud? Retina now supports deployment on a private Azure cloud, enabling you to fully seal off external access to your instance.
Extend Azure DevOps for regulatory compliance using Retina 3.1. Our templates help align your development processes with the requirements of ASPICE, medical technology regulations, and GAMP® 5. This new version also brings a native test uploader integration for Microsoft Azure Pipeline to close the testing loop for teams using Azure DevOps. Our plugins are now available on the Microsoft Visual Studio Marketplace.
Our MS-certified Teams integration has been greatly extended, adding to its already powerful features including the use of notifications and chatbots. Using 3.1, you can now display cardboards on a Microsoft Teams tab. This way, tracking sprint, release, or project progress is only a click away – follow up on work any time without even leaving your chat platform!
Retina’s capabilities around controlling changes in your artifacts have been greatly updated in version 3.1 to facilitate the sharing and management of information in the organization. Requirements, test cases, use cases, and Wikis (now with an improved toolbar!) support baselining and version-based comparison. Using this new feature enables your teams to compare artifact states and review changes from version to version or from baseline to baseline. This new feature makes it easy to track changes in specifications, product documentation, and other collaborative items!
In version 3.1, we’ve made significant improvements to Retina’s collaborative capabilities. The Review Hub has undergone major enhancements. All relevant information is now available at your fingertips: you can now easily access all the test steps of a test case submitted for review, and a new sidebar was added to enable convenient access to in-depth, detailed information including item metadata.
A reviewed item’s timeline now shows all the comments added during the review for a fully traceable comment history. Comments may be accepted, rejected, and replied to thanks to the Review Hub’s updated capability to manage streamed comment threads. And with the new collaboration features, you can now invite new collaborators by simply @mentioning them in a comment!
Using Retina 3.1, items may be easily added or removed when restarting a review, enabling greater flexibility in approval management. Finally, to guarantee compliance with FDA Title 21 CFR Part 11 and other regulations, the Hub now lets you require both the username and password to e-sign reviews.
To simplify collaboration with external users without licensing hassles, we’ve added new Viewer and Reviewer licenses to Retina. Using Retina 3.1, admins can provide restricted access to an unlimited number of users (suppliers, partners, collaborators, consultants, auditors and other stakeholders). With the new Viewer user type, limited, read-only access may be provided to items, while Reviewers can participate in reviews, comment on artifacts, set changes, and use e-signatures without any additional license fees.
For safety-critical industries with regulatory compliance needs, we’re introducing a new Validation Kit to simplify and accelerate tool qualification processes.
