3-4 Nov 2021
Solution Engineer & Technical Consultant, Intland Software
Aerospace Tech Week is Europe’s only international exhibition and conference dedicated to the aerospace technology community. For over 16 years, the conference has been the number one event for aviation electronics & avionics experts to connect, network, and attend insightful conference sessions.
Held in Toulouse, France between 3-4 November 2021, organizers expect over 200 airlines, 1500 OEMs, and 150 global technology suppliers to join the event this year. Intland Software not only takes part as an exhibitor, but our expert will also give a talk at Aerospace Tech Week 2021. Join us to learn systems engineering best practices for traceability, and find out more about our offering for aviation systems developers including the all-new DO-178C compliance template!

Talk title: Best Practices to Enhance Traceability Using Systems Engineering Processes in Avionics
The avionics industry will be facing new challenges in the upcoming years, with a need to accelerate innovation while keeping the highest standards for safety. Considering the fatal consequences of software failures and their economic impact, process improvements will have to be focused on software . This adds new challenges to the already existing complexity of processes and products in avionics product development.
The industry needs new approaches and new toolsets that are modern and agile, while not losing focus on compliance with standards and the necessary certification by authorities (EASA, FAA). Systems Engineering as a process-oriented approach offers best practices to overcome these dynamic and complex challenges, offering instruments to efficiently tackle the problem-solving process.
Some best practices we will touch on during the presentation:
- Hierarchization with Abstraction Levels
- Black Box – White Box Thinking
- Managing traceability through defined abstraction levels
- Virtual Early-stage V&V
