Smart copy enables your teams to reuse entire components (e.g. sets of linked worked items) from a library, complete with all their relationships and version history. When reapplying these components in a new workspace, all references between the artifacts will be maintained. Reuse works across workspaces, supports baselining, and also creates associations between the reused and original work items to support merging. In fact, codebeamer X can now handle bidirectional data merging across connected items!
For those developing products in heavily regulated markets, codebeamer X 4.2 brings a major upgrade. When exporting data for audit submissions or for internal or external collaboration, you can now automate that attachment of reports to your documents. For instance, a report with the document’s complete approval history can be automatically attached to the document upon export. You can still use export templates to make sure your data is consistent.
And the best part: all this can now be easily automated by building it into the workflow. Simply set up a workflow action to execute reporting, and export rich reports without the manual effort!

To provide instant access to the trackers and work items you need, codebeamer X now automatically remembers your view settings. Even if you navigate away from and back to a tracker list, the system will maintain your view settings including order, column width, focus, etc. The same applies to the Traceability Browser, so you won’t have to set up your view again and again – it will automatically be remembered. At the item level, an all-new collapsible comment section makes sure you can really zoom in on relevant information.
