Proving safety and fitness-for-purpose to gain confidence in your development tools is an effort-intensive task. Awarded by independent certification bodies, Intland Software’s certifications help reduce the time and effort costs of attaining the required levels of confidence for tool qualification & validation (for standards including ISO 26262, IEC 62304, FDA 21CFR820, 21CFR11, DO-178C, and more).

TÜV Product Certification: “Trusted Tool” for Safety-critical Development

Intland Software strives for excellence with all of our products. codeBeamer ALM’s version 8.0 (today known simply as codebeamer) received its first “Trusted Tool” certification from internationally recognized testing body TÜV Nord in August 2016. That certification was renewed for version 9.5 in April 2020. This certification reassures users building safety-critical products that codebeamer is an adequate solution to support software development in accordance with the requirements of ISO 26262:2011 and IEC 61508:2010. Based on the assumed use cases, a maximum-level confidence of TCL 3 / ASIL D or SIL 3 has been awarded to codebeamer (formerly codeBeamer ALM).

The audit conducted by TÜV Nord covered a full revision of product planning, requirements and change management, development, code quality, validation and verification processes, testing and product Quality Assurance, and release management. This Trusted Tool certification provides assurance for users of codebeamer that the tool is compliant with the highest safety standards, and can be expected to successfully pass tool validation exercises conducted by user companies.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification

In 2018 Intland Software began to implement an organization-wide quality management system as per the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. We defined our Quality Policy and Quality Manual, and set up Standard Operation Processes covering all our quality-related activities. Intland Software systematically analyzes risks and any non-conformities in its operations. We define CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and improvement actions to provide high-quality services to enhance our customers’ satisfaction.

As a producer of safety-critical technology, regulations may require you to validate that your development tools are fit-for-purpose. Tool qualification can be a lengthy, arduous, and costly process.

Use Intland’s Tool Validation Kit to demonstrate maturity with minimal effort and costs. The kit contains all the use cases and test artifacts that you’ll need to successfully complete a qualification of your ALM platform for its intended purposes.
