The "Information Technology at The University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien" selected codeBeamer

March 02, 2004 -- The University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien is one of the leading technical universities in Austria . Therefore the lecturers of the Department of Information Technology use a codeBeamer server for managing the student's projects in classes. So the students can see how projects can be managed in an ordered way - they can use codeBeamer for communication, source code versioning and quality assurance purposes in their projects. Advanced software engineering topics like testing are focused in classes as well. So the students can also track bugs with the help of the codeBeamer server.

"The largest project we manage on the codeBeamer server is our "RoboCup" project. In this project several modules in different programming languages build a very complex system that controls five robots playing soccer against other teams. The fluctuation of students in this project team is very high, because every year new students work on this project to take part at the yearly RoboCup World Championships. The codeBeamer server will be the central target of software engineering projects at our university. Every year several new student projects start and finish more or less successful.
