September 6, 2004 -- The Software Technology Group at the FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany, has chosen codeBeamer for the students' software engineering projects. The FernUniversität is the first and only distance teaching university in the German-speaking countries and has developed into one of the biggest universities in Germany. The software engineering projects are, like all other courses, distant teaching courses -- thus, communication and collaboration support for the students are most important. Software engineering projects at the FernUniversität are always distributed development.
"codeBeamer's project management capabilities complements the FernUniversität's communication and collaboration platform, CURE." said Dr. Jens Krinke, leader of the Software Technology Group in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Engineering. "Our codeBeamer server will make our student's projects even more successful."
