Intland Software’s collaborative development platform, codeBeamer, is in the finals of the 2005 Software Development Jolt Awards
Cary, North Carolina, January 20, 2005 – Intland Software, the leading
provider of Web-based collaboration and change management solutions for
software development teams, today announced that the codeBeamer collaborative
development
platform has been selected as a finalist in the 15th Annual Software Development
Jolt Product Excellence Awards, in the Change and Configuration Management
category.
Jolt Awards are given to products that have "jolted" the software
development industry with improved speed, increased efficiency, and overall
impact on the development community. "This is the 15th year that Software
Development magazine has recognized the best and most useful products with
the Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity awards. For a tool, book or website
to reach finalist status indicates just how valuable an aid it is in delivering
high-quality software development solutions. Not only that, these finalists'
innovativeness reaffirms the importance of the developer market," commented
Rosalyn Lum, the magazine's Technical Editor.
"We are honored that codeBeamer has been selected as one of only six
finalists in the Change and Configuration Management category”, stated
Dan Snider, director of North American operations, Intland Software. “We
believe by focusing our solution on tightly integrating collaboration with
change
management, across the lifecycle, we are best addressing the challenges
now facing distributed development teams. The result is real-time visibility,
availability and control of all assets; these are essential requirements
for
increasing team productivity and reducing costs”. Continued Snider, “We
have developed codeBeamer with these requirements in mind, providing
not only innovative critical change management capabilities but also the
ability
to
capture and use intellectual capital generated during the development
process. The Jolt Awards’ panel has a reputation for recognizing innovative
solutions; we are very excited that our technology and direction has met
with the
panel’s
criteria for finalist selection”.
The Jolt Award evaluation process is now in progress and the winners will
be honored at a gala ceremony on the evening of March 16, 2005 in Santa
Clara, California and in the June 2005 issue of Software Development.
