Intland Software announces codeBeamer version 3.5, providing greater
visibility and control of software development projects
Cary, North Carolina, February 8, 2005 – Intland Software, the leading
provider of Web-based collaboration and life cycle management solutions for software
development teams, today announced the latest version of their collaborative
development platform, codeBeamer 3.5. This new version continues to build
on codeBeamer’s focus of accelerating software development, improving
team communication and increasing the control of complex, distributed software
development.
Managing the security of development information and controlling changes
are critical to software development projects and become even more complex
issues for large, distributed teams. The recent additions to codeBeamer
3.5 provide enhanced support for controlling distributed access and managing
and
tracking changes. The new managed repository capability allows codeBeamer’s
user roles and permissions to control and secure access to local as well as
remote Subversion repositories. Trending and custom reports provide precise
and timely management information and allow new versions of software to be
released more quickly with the automatic generation of release notes. Wiki
integration offers users a powerful glue language for linking all artifacts,
enabling comprehensive traceability that can support regulatory and corporate
policy audits as well as improving the impact analysis process. Additional
productivity enhancements include tracker “inheritance” for efficient
reuse of project configuration, artifact visitation history, and auto login.
“We are focused on providing innovative, easy to implement solutions
to complex development problems”, stated Dan Snider, director of North
American operations, Intland Software. “codeBeamer addresses the
issues of a growing escalation in team distribution and the increasing
number of
project stakeholders. The enhancements available in v3.5 increase the
real-time visibility, availability and control of development assets
enabling our customers
to achieve better team productivity and reduce their project costs”,
continued Snider.
codeBeamer 3.5 was recently selected as a Jolt Award
finalist in the Change and Configuration Management category. Jolt
Awards are given
to products that
have "jolted" the software development industry with improved
speed, increased efficiency, and overall impact on the development community.
